An excursion full of emotions that skirts the River Piave and then climbs up to the Digola Pass through snowy woods, often enclosed in calm winter warmth. The pleasure of silence envelopes us and makes us feel suspended in a sleepy nature. Once we have reached the saddle of the Digola Pass, a panorama dominated by the rocky mountain peaks opens up where we can admire the Campolongo Valley that stretches out below. A sunny day offers the fortune to view the magnificence of the Dolomite peaks of Cadore.

Time is money but this experience is priceless!
A tour that offers strong emotions, especially for those who for the first time experience the pleasure of snowmobiling. Once at Digola Pass, after a duty stop to admire the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomite peaks of Cadore, we will descend a winding mountain trail where the natural and the fabricated blend. For the passenger more than for the experienced pilot, this descent to Campolongo is rather challenging but on arrival in the valley one is filled with pride for having mastered the test. Heartened by the safety of the now easier though longer climb through the hairpin bends. The end is near. Pian del Sir, a sunny and spacious amphitheatre crowned with majestic peaks awaits us. Here begins a ritual: the snowmobile is turned off as we sit breathless from the excitement of the snow trip; a few minutes of silence before the uncorking of a bottle of sparkling wine, all made better when accompanied by a few slices of good salami and cereal bread.

Intensely exciting and not easy to describe, you really have to take a day off and try this adventure first hand. From the Pian del Sir (see previous tour) we move into the woods through a wide mountain road. From here we begin a short but more demanding climb, requiring the full attention of the snowmobile pilots, to Casera Razzo, a large valley located between the towns of Lorenzago di Cadore and Sauris. Between woods and brooks we reach a clearing where the typical “casere” or mountain hay huts populate the valley as little reminders of beautiful stories of the past. At this point we reach the ski lifts of Sauris and the town proper which we visit by foot and where we can enjoy a snack of excellent prosciutto ham and beer, all local products.
